This is great, thank you. It's interesting that in these photos Billie pretty much looks like she's at her larger size. Contrary to maybe some modern notions regarding body size, this is how Billie was at her healthiest. Somewhere there's a film of her at 18, a big beautiful healthy girl with a big beautiful voice. It seems clear her dogs were helpful for her. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

She found solace in the companionship of dogs because she rarely had the same level of loyalty and trust given to her by the human beings in her life.
Amazing. Billie Holliday is easily one of my favorite singers, and these dogs... oh man, I could fall in love!
