I must (shyly) admit that I wasn’t very familiar with his work but wow! Those dog portraits capture so much about a place, a moment and the (often unseen) owners. And his self-portraits are so so wonderful!
Excellent post. I woke up last weekend and for no apparent reason, searched Google for Lee Friedlander and went down a 3-hour rabbit hole browsing everything I could find. Such a good photographer. I've been a fan for 40 years.
