I love every single one of these posts. I tend to prefer reading the long ones but I'm here for the short ones as well. They all delight me.

I am an animal enthusiast AND a former artist (very unknown!) until RA took it away (no whining just stating the facts ; ))

I have commented very little, if at all, but I do enjoy reading all of the stories and seeing the art.

I figure this was as good a time as any to comment!

Thank you

So spooky! I have literally just been looking in my files for a picture related to Nabokov and his love of butterflies, which I'll be posting in my newsletter on Friday. I will tag your Subsyack so people can explore the topic further!

What a lovely read about an author and his hobby. Even though I don’t like that butterlies got collected in this way I cannot get passed how dedicated Nabokov is and his face is that if a child in this images caught in the heat if butterfly action. Butterflies are special and beautiful. Recently when one fell out if the city sky and landed on my feet I took its picture and wrote a piece. It was inevitable. A wonderful article this was.

Species Profile: Lycaeides melissa samuelis Nabokov, 1944: Karner blue (Lycaenidae: Polyommatinae: Polyommatini) is my all-time favorite butterfly. It looks like it came out of an old timey Disney hand animation studio. Golden spots on sky blue wings.
